Who are we?
We are Doiphode Aarambh International Foundation, a Mumbai-based non-profit committed to building cleaner, healthier, and more responsible communities. Our team of passionate volunteers believes that change begins at the grassroots — with each citizen taking ownership of their environment. Through our Cleanliness Drives, we turn that belief into meaningful, on-ground action.
What do we do?
We organize regular cleanliness campaigns in and around residential colonies, streets, and public spaces across Mumbai. Our volunteers sweep roads, collect waste, spread awareness about hygiene, and engage locals in taking care of their surroundings. We also conduct educational sessions to instill cleanliness habits in children and youth — because lasting change begins with awareness and action.
Why do we need funds?
Although our work relies heavily on volunteers, running these drives consistently requires resources — from basic cleaning equipment to printed awareness materials, transportation, safety gear, and disposal tools. To expand our impact across more areas and conduct drives more frequently, we need your financial support.
Why is this important?
Mumbai’s growing waste problem impacts not just the environment, but public health and quality of life. Dirty streets lead to disease, pollution, and loss of community pride. Our drives help change this — not just physically, but mentally — by encouraging people to take responsibility and value their space. A cleaner neighborhood is safer, healthier, and more humane for everyone.
How would this money be utilized?
Every donation supports tangible items and actions:
-
Buying cleaning tools like brooms, gloves, dustbins, and safety masks
-
Printing educational posters and banners
-
Organizing awareness drives in schools and housing societies
-
Providing refreshments and transport for volunteers
-
Managing proper waste collection and disposal during campaigns
With your help, we can clean more areas, reach more people, and build a city we’re all proud to live in.
